Welcome to the birthplace

of the Buddha.

The land with

the highest peaks in the world,

intriguing wildlife,

endless trails, prayer flags,

Rural villages,smiley locals

and lots of lentils and rice.

A playground for seekers of adventure, Buddhist and Hindu philosophy, simple life, nature

and yoga.

This 14 day yoga and hiking trip through Nepal is an inner and outer adventure. The combination of these 2 experiences, yoga and hiking, will challenge you but will also bring you closer to yourself than you have ever been. Every day we will practice yoga. The program is filled with vinyasa yoga sessions to kick start the day ,soothing yin classes and guided meditations.

We start our trip in Nepal's vibrant capital Kathmandu. After indulging in Hindu culture and city life we leave for the mountains. We will walk the Tamang Heritage Trail. This trek will take us deep into the area of the Tamang people, a Tibetan ethnic group of Nepal.

For 6 days we will walk through rural Buddhist villages and valleys, over wild rivers and mountain passes. We will live & eat with the Tamang people and sleep in their villages.

After this adventure we head to Chitwan National Park where we will channel our inner Mowgli while looking for elephants, rhinos, crocodiles,

and if you are lucky a Bengal tiger. We will also take time to rest and recover from our hike.

We will end our trip in Bhaktapur, famous for its art & architecture. This place is perfect to go souvenir hunting before heading home.

You will not only go on an adventure but also embark on a spiritual journey. All yoga classes, ceremonies and meditation sessions will be infused with Hindu and Buddhist philosophy. Every day will offer opportunities to implement this wisdom into your stay to enrich your experience.

All sessions are guided by Charlotte Beyer. Charlotte is the founder of KOKKON and has been leading classes, teacher trainings and retreats internationally for the past 8 years. Read more

I believe that the universe brings people together because they have to meet. To learn from each other, to connect and grow together. That is why we limit our group to maximum 12 people.

Man and woman are welcome.

Along the trip you will also connect with the people of Nepal.

Get ready to be blown away by their friendliness, hospitality and big smiles.

Nepal is divided in 3 ecological areas. The Himalaya, a central hilly part and the Terai or lowlands. During the trip you will explore
all zones.

Spring is one of the best seasons to go hiking in Nepal. It is the time where the trees grow new buds, the snow melts and flowers bloom.

April has brighter and hotter days and is generally a dry month.

It provides pleasant temperatures and minimal humidity for hikers.

Be flexible.

The unexpected is the norm in this country and despite our organization, the travel itinerary can not be taken for granted.
Weather can be unpredictable, traffic difficulties or other factors may force us to make changes in our schedule. If this occurs, we will do everything in our power to minimize the effect of the changes.

Be physically prepared.

This is a backpack trip that requires some level of fitness. During the hike you will carry your own backpack. There will be one porter with us to carry some supplies for the group. If you need a personal porter,
please let us know so we can arrange this for you at an additional cost.

Be open.

Some of the hotels we will stay in will live up to Western standards but we will also travel through remote areas where only homestays or community houses are available. During the hike there is no wifi, no Western menu and be prepared to shower with a bucket!
